I have the gimp, which is really very good and able to do most of what photoshop does, while being free. But I was hoping to expand my cover-art making into a side business, and if I'm going to do that people are going to expect photoshop files. Also most of the free resources out there are for photoshop and don't necessarily work on gimp. So we'll see if it's useful enough to justify paying again next year!
Book Report lays out your Kindle sales dashboard in such a way that you can actually understand it. I can click on it and see how much money I've made today, and yesterday, and last week, and last month etc, all displayed in handy graphs that I can understand. Suddenly I can see which books are selling best... and they're really not always the ones I thought! But that lets me know which ones I ought to be writing more of :)
