Thank you! Yes, I think 95% of the skill of photo-manip cover art comes in choosing the right pictures to start off with. Some pictures just don't lend themselves to anything at all :)
Having tried oilify directly onto a layer, as opposed to onto a multiply layer, I think I like the second better as it's slightly more subtle - but that all depends on the picture too. Some of them need more in your face treatment :)
