Nano Groaning

How fair is it that the wonderful first week, where everything goes so well and you really enjoy yourself, should only have lasted two days? Now I'm onto the 'squeezing blood out of a stone' part of the process. The writing is abominable, and although I'm just about hitting the word count I'm going to have to delete half of them when it comes to revision. Goodness knows how I can make battling the invading pirate hordes, complete with gruesome scenes of hero-torture, boring. But I'm managing it!
