alex_beecroft: A blue octopus in an armchair, reading a book (Nano - cult)
Slight hitch on NaNo.  I finished the first draft of Secrets at 44,000 words.  It is rough as a brillo pad, but it's done and now needs time, space and careful - slow - editing.  I refuse to write padding for it, which I *know* is just padding and will have to come out again.  That seems pointless.

So what do I do to get those last 6,000 words?

1. Write that Maecenas fanfic
2. Start 'The Boys of Summer' - a short contemporary m/m romance which I can give LBR while I work on making Secrets really good
3. Write Joyful Molly's birthday fic.
4. Give up NaNo this year, because I've already achieved what I wanted to do with it.

It doesn't help, of course, that I have a stinking cold and can barely sit up, let alone write.
