In other news, I'm struggling on with the editing of 90%Proof - and that's about as exciting as my life gets at the moment!

Return of Editing

Just to give you a taste of what I'm doing with this story at the moment, here are a couple of paragraphs from the beginning.  'Before' is the raw story as it was when it was submitted.

'After 1' is what happens to it when I remove all the instances of 'was', show rather than report the character's thinking, weed out cliches and generally speed up the action.  (Which strangely results in it being longer!)  

After 2 is a further revision to remove character thought, to make it more cinematic - less internal - and to add in some setting.
