Lost my Molly
Nov. 9th, 2008 06:09 pmI had a nice day out at the National Maritime Museum, though unfortunately it turned out to be on my own. I think next time that I arrange to meet someone 'at the cafe at 1.30' I should check beforehand to be sure the museum only has one cafe. Also that I know what the person I'm meeting looks like! Sorry,
joyful_molly ! I sat in the Regatta Cafe from 1.15 to 1.45, then I went over and stood in the 'Paul' cafe until 2.10, but I couldn't see anyone who looked like a bunch of naval fangirls. It was all families. I did ask one girl who was on a table on her own peacefully reading a book if she was Molly, but she denied it.
And there were no Nelson commemorative mugs in the gift shop! But I did buy Captain Cook's Journals and 'The Female Shipwright' by Mary Lacy (aka William Chandler), *and* I got to ogle Nelson's woolly undershirt, so it was well worth the trip anyway. It's just a shame, and I really hope you weren't too disappointed or annoyed, Molly. How long are you in England for? Maybe we could try again another day?
