Boys of Summer
This is being a real pig to get going. Every time I work up a little head of steam and find myself with some momentum, something happens to stop me writing - editing on something else, school holidays, illness, boiler men round fiddling with the central heating... And I leave it for a week, and when I come back it's like pushing a boulder uphill again.
Today, however, I felt it tip over into actual enjoyment territory. Tony hates himself, Darren hates himself, their pain entertains me. Yay! ;)
And on the subject of entertaining pain, I really enjoyed Being Human on BBC3

I think I enjoyed the pilot more than the first episode. They've recast two of the three main characters, and I thought the pilot's versions were better. But still, George the werewolf is so cuddly and adorable! I thought it was so funny that he and vampire Mitchell pretend to be a gay couple to cover up their sinister secrets. It's a nice advance on the way Merlin is still using magic as a metaphor for being gay. But if you want deep metaphorical meanings, I think it's interesting that both of the men are fighting their inner tendency to become ravaging monsters, whereas the female main character's problem is that nobody can see her and she can't go out of the house.
Deep meanings aside, if you know where I can find George/Mitchell, please point me at it! They are terribly, terribly sweet together. My kind of paranormal romance :)
