Dec. 6th, 2008 11:29 amAfter a surprise announcement on Thursday night that Samhain Publishing Ltd had bought Linden Bay Romance with all its books both current and under contract, it turns out that I'm a Samhain author now!
As their cover art is gorgeous, and they have distribution networks that result in your books getting into bookshops (available in Borders! Woohoo!) I think on the whole I'm very pleased. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they might want to rerelease Captain's Surrender with a nicer cover and put it into shops. But after bereavement, editing, the anthology and illness, I've also started writing 'Boys of Summer' again, so I'll have something new to offer them in the new year.
I even went and looked up the correct pronounciation, which appears to be 'sow-ein' or 'sa-when', though I understand that everyone calls them 'sam-hane' anyway ;)
