Giveaway of the day

Many thanks to Erastes for pointing me to Giveaway of the Day: Cover Commander

It lets you create book covers and cd covers, also little previews of the same, such as this one



really easily.  However, if you don't pay for the upgrade to the paid version you do get the grey text on the back of the previews.  I think it's easier to erase that in Gimp than it is to do the whole 'map an image onto a box' thing from scratch in Gimp, so I'm quite chuffed.  If you fancy getting a free download, there is only 21 hours and 20 minutes left while it's still available.  So get it now, and you can always uninstall it later :)

Urgh. 2000 words a day is hard. I've done it today by mostly ignoring my lists and LJ, and by writing in the evening when I normally answer emails. It's a bit anti-social, but on the other hand it is great to see the words piling up :)
